The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) will mark its 4th Founder’s Day on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the College of Agriculture Main Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus.
In a message to the LASUSTECH community, Vice Chancellor Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya reflected on the institution’s journey since inception, praising the dedication of staff and students. He noted that their “hard work and quiet determination have turned our initial vision into reality,” adding that the Founder’s Day is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and realign goals for the future.
This year’s celebration theme is “Mapping the Future”, which underscores the university’s commitment to innovation, academic excellence, and leadership in higher education. The program will feature a keynote lecture titled “Achieving the Objectives of Universities of Science and Technology” to be delivered by Professor Adenike Temidayo Oladiji, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
The event will bring together faculty, students, alumni, and stakeholders to celebrate LASUSTECH’s progress over the past four years and to chart a course for the years ahead. Activities will include reflections on achievements, discussions on future goals, and celebrations of the university’s role as a blueprint for science and technology education in Nigeria.
The Vice Chancellor called on all members of the LASUSTECH family to join the celebration,
“Come, let’s celebrate our LASUSTECH, My LASUSTECH! I look forward to seeing you there and celebrating our family’s progress.”
