The Executive Management Committee (EMC) of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) has directed all staff to lock their offices, laboratories, and workshops after work hours to protect university property.
The directive, issued at the EMC meeting on Monday, January 26, 2026, comes after a recent incident in which the mechanical engineering workshop was left unlocked, leaving equipment vulnerable.
Staff are reminded to:
- Secure offices, laboratories, and workshops after use
- Store equipment safely
- Report any security concerns to the authorities
The EMC stressed that cooperation from all staff is vital to maintaining a safe and secure campus environment.
