On Sunday, March 8, 2026, the world will once again unite to celebrate
International Women’s Day (IWD) a day dedicated to honoring women’s
achievements and advancing gender equality.
This year’s global campaign theme is “Give to Gain”, a call to action that
emphasizes generosity, collaboration, and reciprocity. The idea is simple yet
powerful: when communities, organizations, and individuals give either
through mentorship, resources, advocacy, or time society gains collective
progress toward equality. Alongside this, the United Nations highlights
“Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls”, focusing on legal
protections and equal access to justice worldwide.
For the LASUSTECH community, this theme resonates deeply. It’s a reminder
that every act of support from empowering female students in STEM, to
fostering inclusive leadership opportunities contributes to a stronger, fairer
academic environment. By embracing “Give to Gain,” LASUSTECH can
continue building a culture where women thrive, and in turn, the entire
institution rises.
